JHG
JHG Consulting — Healthcare Technology Commercialization

You Have the Product. You Don’t Have Repeatable Revenue Yet.

Pilot-to-product assessment, fractional CPO and CTO leadership, and technology diligence for healthcare IoT, RTLS, connected-device, and PE-backed platform companies selling into hospitals.

“I helped build a real RTLS supplier for Mayo Clinic. The hardest decision was not winning the account. It was refusing to become every hospital department’s custom technology company.”
Who This Is For

Three versions of the same problem

If one of these sounds like where you are right now, this is built for you.

Founder / CEO

“We have pilots, customer interest, and technical complexity, but no repeatable path to revenue.”

PE Operating Partner

“The portfolio company has a credible product but needs product-market focus, commercial discipline, and a credible operator to accelerate value creation.”

Solution Provider Executive

“We are winning hospital accounts but accumulating bespoke integrations, security obligations, and roadmap debt faster than scalable revenue.”

What’s At Stake

A strong product is not the same thing as a scalable business

The gap between a working pilot and a repeatable revenue line is where healthcare technology companies actually lose value. This is what closing that gap requires.

1

Convert pilots into purchase orders

Name the budget owner and the threshold before the pilot starts, not after it ends.

2

Protect the roadmap

Say no to unfunded, department-specific requests before they become permanent technical debt.

3

Improve deployment repeatability

Build one hardened core with configuration at the edges, not a bespoke fork per hospital account.

4

Build credible expansion economics

Model the real twelve to eighteen month sales cycle and the compliance treadmill, not a generic B2B curve.

Why JHG

Operator experience, not generic consulting

This comes from having done it, not from having studied it.

Co-founded Bluvision, a BLE/RTLS platform that became a real supplier inside Mayo Clinic, and led it through acquisition by HID Global in 2016.

Served as VP of Product, IoT at HID Global from 2019 to 2023, running a large, revenue-significant global portfolio and leading the M&A strategy behind HID’s acquisition of GuardRFID.

Holds issued patents in BLE-based location determination and thermal-imaging room-level RTLS.

Has personally navigated hospital credentialing, IT security review, and EHR integration cycles at Mayo Clinic and other flagship health systems, not just advised on them from the outside.

Brings a firsthand diagnosis of why strong products stall inside larger organizations, the exact lens PE operating partners need for portfolio commercialization work.
